Gratitudes

Gratitude

One reason that people overeat is this: they are STRESSED! What’s one easy thing you can do about that?

Write down three things you are grateful for every day. Gratitude reduces stress. Reduced stress, all by itself, begins to take the weight off.

Getting better sleep also reduces your waist size. And guess what? Gratitude helps you sleep better.

Here’s another one. When you are less stressed, you think better, more logically. You’re more likely to eat healthy food simply because you are thinking through it rather than just reacting.

One more: gratitude reduces the cortisol hormone. One job it has is to prime your body for hardship. If you think the future is rough, you put on weight to have enough fat stores to make it through whatever is coming.

And this all from taking a minute every day (I write mine in the morning) to write down a few gratitudes.

Hey, I know some of you are saying to yourself: that sounds cheesy. I thought that too. Until I read the research. There are many studies done on this. MANY. Don’t believe me? Just Google it for yourself.

A little cheesy is worth it to get the cheese off your belly. Try it for 30 days and see what happens. And see what else happens too.

If you are one of those who wants to remake yourself from the inside out, this is an easy way to start. You won’t be sorry.
